Dr. Erik Atkinson has been the recipient of “Best Dentist” award in Alpharetta and Milton for several consecutive years. He started his dental career in Arizona after graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University, and Doctor of Dental Surgery from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in Southern California.

Having grown up in Nashville, Tennessee, it was only natural that he returned to the south. He moved to Alpharetta in 2003 and started Deerfield Dentistry in October of 2004.
He believes strongly in the value of continuing education; which enables him to provide patients the best care utilizing the latest in technology and oral health care services; and has maintained membership with the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, and North Atlanta Dental Society throughout his career.

Dr. Atkinson and his family live in the Milton area where he is active in his church and community. He enjoys spending free time with family and friends, golfing, biking, and running.

Dr. Smith is a Georgia native and graduate of Milton High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Following graduation, he attended the University Of Utah School Of Dentistry where he and his wife had their three daughters. He is excited to be back home and for his family to be able to grow up in the South.

Dr. Smith’s love for giving back to the community grew while serving a two-year mission in the Philippines. He has organized and participated in multiple dental humanitarian trips, including trips to the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and the Philippines. There are few things more satisfying to him than helping a patient get out of pain or seeing the confidence a new smile can bring. He also enjoys continuing education courses for learning the latest techniques and applying the newest technology to his practice.

In his spare time Dr. Smith likes being outside hiking or backpacking, dancing with his daughters, and playing beach volleyball with his wife.
